Double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) Quantitative Detection

Equalbit dsDNA HS Assay Kit is a simple, sensitive and accurate fluorescent quantitative detection kit for double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). This kit contains fluorescent detection reagents, buffer and dsDNA standards. It has high selectivity for double-stranded DNA and is not affected by RNA. It has excellent linear relationship with dsDNA samples in the range of 0.2 ~ 100 ng. It can accurately quantify samples with concentrations of 10 pg/µl to 100 ng/µl, and has good tolerance to some common contaminants such as salt, free nucleotides, proteins, solvents, detergents, etc. This product is easy to use and can be used at room temperature. Before use, dilute the fluorescent detection reagent with buffer to make a working solution, then add the dsDNA sample to be tested and detect it unit Qubit fluorometer.

·  Good Sensitivity: It can accurately quantify dsDNA samples with concentration ranging from 10 pg/µl to 100 ng/µl.

·  High Specificity: This product has high selectivity for double-stranded DNA, is unaffected by RNA, and has good tolerance to some common contaminants such as salt, free nucleotides, proteins, solvents, detergents, etc.

·  Easy Operation: This product is easy to operate. Dilute the fluorescent detection reagent with buffer to make a working solution, then add the dsDNA sample to be tested, and detect it with the Qubit fluorescence instrument. This operation can be performed at room temperature.

Quantify 10 dsDNA samples of different concentrations using Equalbit dsDNA HS Assay Kit (Zhixuan) and Qubit dsDNA HS Assay Kit (Thermo Fisher) respectively. The comparison results of the two assay kits show that the dsDNA samples have a good linear relationship in the range of 0.2-100ng, and this product has the same performance as Thermo Fisher's equivalent products in terms of functionality.

The results of the quantitative analysis of dsDNA, RNA, and a mixture of DNA and RNA (mass 1:1) by Equalbit dsDNA HS Assay Kit (Zhixuan) show that this product has high binding specificity for double-stranded DNA, and weak binding ability for RNA. The test result for dsDNA samples containing RNA are basically consistent with that for samples containing only dsDNA, indicating that this product has binding specificity only for dsDNA. The figure on the right shows the results of the dsDNA binding specificity test of Thermo Fisher's equivalent product. From the above two figures, it can be seen that this product has the same dsDNA binding specificity as the equivalent product of Thermo Fisher.

The test results of this product's tolerance to common contaminants, such as salt, free nucleotides, proteins, solvents, detergents, etc., show that this product has the same impurity resistance as the equivalent products of Thermo Fisher.

The complete kit shall be stored at 2°C - 8°C and kept away from light.

After initial use, it is recommended to store Equalbit dsDNA HS Reagent at room temperature and protected from light, Equalbit dsDNA HS Buffer at room temperature, and Equalbit dsDNA HS Standard #1 and #2 at 4°C environment.
